Lucknow: After a landslide victory in the recent Pancrayat election, BJP has launched a blueprint to accelerate the construction of roads in the heart of the heart, indicating party efforts to expand the assembly trace in front of the assembly selection next year.
Sources that are highly placed in the rural development department said the authority of the development of rural roads would soon move the center with a proposal to get a 10,000 km road built in rural areas.
This project was proposed to be held under PM Gramin PM Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
“We’ve been in the process of building more than 6500 km of road.
We plan to send a new proposal to the center in August for construction and revamp from other 10,000 km streets in rural areas,” said Chief Executive Officer Uprrda, Bhanu Chandra Goswami, Talk to Ti on Friday.
The source said the proposal would be sent to the Ministry of Rural Development Union under PMGSY Phase-III for the financial year of 2021-22.
The center gave sanctions RS 4172.73 Crore to put 898 roads straddling 6287.37 km to cut through five 134.4mt bridges on January 11.
On July 20, UPRRDA issued a work permit for 878 roads 6103.50 km and five bridges.
The remaining work permit is in the process and will be immediately cleaned, officials said.
The source adds a tender for the construction of nine roads 110.18km has floated for construction / increase in roads using full depth reclamation technology (FDR) using cement and additives.
It is seen as a pointer to BJP stress on road connectivity in rural areas, which is very important to determine any political party’s wealth.
The party has also increased its rural outreach through party organizations and state governments.
While the party has tried to consolidate its rural traces through various programs, the state government has mapped various schemes to improve rural infrastructure.
Recently, the Country Cabinet approved a proposal to establish a village secretariat in each Gram Panchayat and appointed the Panchayat Assistant / Accountant-Cum-Data Entry Entry operator.
These expenses will be borne by the Finance Commission.
The cabinet also provided a nod to make changes in the mandate at the Gram Panchayat / Rural Secretariat at Gram Panchayats with the approval of the Minister of Chief.
