Agra: Chambal gorge, for a long time tale for criminals, has been inactive for years.
With the loss of a doctor from Agra, Badlands became alive again on Wednesday.
For almost 30 hours, 50 police from Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh chased the gang of Singh Chauhan’s body, across the Gharia infested Chambal River, climbing through the deep ravine and exploring the dozens of villages before they found a doctor – he was “stuck” and was held captive for RS 5- Crore.
Dr.
Umakan Gupta (TOI) starts with a police rather used to check around 12:30 a.m.
on Wednesday at Nihal Ganj in Rajasthan’s Crime Capital Dholpur.
Cars with top licenses sneak through the halls and avoid checkpost.
When the police managed to stop it, the driver, Pawan, said it was a “Doctor Saab’s” car.
Car registration number, which began with “up 80”, gave instructions to the police – it was from Agra.
“Saab doctor”, Umakan Gupta, 60, who has a nursing home in Agra, has been reported missing a few hours ago.
“He left on Tuesday night at 6.45 a night.
He had taken the phone with him,” his wife Dr.
Vidya Gupta, said Gynecologist.
Police in Dholpur deals with people in Agra.
Pawan told them a woman, Mangla Patidar, 30, had been asked to “seduce” the doctor.
Patidar, who came from Maharashtra, was a member of the Gang Singh Agency, who had kidnapped another doctor from Agra, Nikhil Bansal, in 2017 – he was released after payment of ransom which was not revealed as a ransom.
Patidar has asked the doctor to meet him at Bhagwan Talkies who are busy.
They drove to the silent Rohta channel, where five people came on three bikes – one of them was Singh’s body, 27 – four of them beat the Gupta and went with him to Chambal’s chasm.
Singh went with Patidar.
“After an hour and a half questioned, Pawan told us where the doctor was last seen,” SP (Agra City) Botre Rohan Pramod.
Police from Rajasthan and the team worked for surgery.
“The place is 25 km from the nearest police station.
They have crossed the river.
We have to follow, on foot.” The river up to 7 km width in places.
Just like they crossed the river, they saw several men running towards the valley.
When the police crossed the river, they had disappeared.
Chambal’s topography, cutting in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, have long been considered the reason for providing safe protection to Brigand ribbons.
“They might informant,” Pramod said.
The trail is gone.
And it becomes dark.
The police team spread and began scanning the village for the village, far in the valley.
For hours, nothing appears.
They are close to giving up.
But around 2:30 a.m.
on Thursday, they finally found it – near the village of Bamroli, beaten and shivered.
The gang escaped.
“I have to know the woman 15 days ago.
He came to the nursing home for the care of his brother,” Gupta told the media after his rescue, denied the “honey-trap” narrative.
“He called me and asked me to meet him.
He got into my car, said I was in trouble and asked me to do what he said.
It was only the second time I saw it.” Police said he had introduced himself to the gupta with a fake name, Anjali.

This will be sent for forensic analysis.
The CCTV recording area is also being examined,” said ADG (Zona Agra) Rajeev Krishna.
