Nainital: The explosion occurred outside the residence of the BJP leader in Haldwani on Tuesday night triggered fear in the area.
The explosion occurred around 12 am outside the residence of the President of the Nainital District BJP Pradeep Bish in Harinagar from Haldwani, said Nainital District Judge D Garbiyal said on Wednesday.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the explosion, said DM.
However, the ground floor of the building suffered damage to the window and the portion of the door was destroyed, he said.
The explosion was so strong that it was heard in all regions that forced people to run out of their homes.
The source of the explosion cannot be determined, Garbiyal said adding it can be ascertained only after a place forensic examination.
