Uttarakhand Govt canceled Kanwar Yatra with a view of Covid-19

New Delhi: The Uttarakhand government on Tuesday canceled the Yatra Kanwar this year considering the Covid-19 pandemic.
It was for the second year in a row that Yatra was not detained because of Covid-19.
Kanwar Yatras has seen a large crowd of anything from 3 crores to 5 crore people who converge in Haridwar.
Incidentally, Char Dham Yara has also lived in the Uttarakhand High Court.
Previously today, Chairman of the Minist of the Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami said, “Kanwar is part of a culture and saving lives is the most important.” “The government’s focus is to ensure that Covid does not spread,” he added.
Yatra has been canceled by the Government of Tirath Singh and led at Uttarakhand last month after the Covid-19 situation review shows it is not wise to allow pilgrimage.
But after Dhami took over as cm, it speculates that the government reconsidered his decision.
