Harianem Rizvi aka Jitendra Narayan Tyagi was arrested by the Uttarakhand police in Haridwar on Thursday for allegedly conducting a provocative statement against Muslims in ‘Dharam Sansad’ held in Haridwar from 17 to 19.
This is the first arrest in the hatred of Dharam Sansad case, said police.
He was one of the many speakers at a meeting that had made a demeaning statement against Islam and practitioners.
“Rizvi was detained on the border of Haridwar-Narsan and was produced before the CJM court by the police late at night.
The court has sent it to the trial detention.
Two cases are registered against it at the City Police Station Club and also on three-day religious conclaves, “said Shekhar Suhy, Circle Officer (City).
Immediately after the order of the detention of Judicial Rizvi, Yati Narsinghanand Giri, the controversial Imam Dasna Temple in Ghaziabad, sat with a hunger strike on the edge of Ganges in Haridwar along with its supporters demanding direct guarantees.
The arrest came a day after the Supreme Court was looking for responses from the center and the others on the petition looking for directions to ensure investigations and actions against those who were suspected of addressing.
This posted a problem to hear after 10 days.
Rizvi, former Head of the Shiite Council Waqf, who was recently converted to Hinduism, was shared with Narsinghanand and Seers Dharamdas and Sadhvi Annapurna, and others, under the IPC 153-A section (promoting hostility between various groups with religious reasons, etc.), etc.) among other parts, because of the alleged speech of their hatred in Dharam Sansad.
