Uttarakhand put gangajal tankers on the border to prevent kanwars

Haridwar: In another effort to keep the Kanwarias out of Uttarakhand, the authorities have deployed 10 gangajal tankers on the state border for worshipers trying to enter Haridwar to collect holy water from Ganga.
Although strict checks at the railway station and the presence of heavy police, Kanwarias continued to enter troops.
On Tuesday, 400 Kanwarias was sent home from Haridwar train station, the day after 240 had been transported out of the country.
At least 100 vehicles that have an unknown number of Kanwarias also turned around Borders Narsan and Chidiyapur by Haridwar police.
On Tuesday, 10 gangajal tankers were placed in various border areas.
Haridwar SSP Senthil Avoodai Krishna Raj S told TII that 30 tankers were ready to transport gangajal on request to neighboring countries.
“While 10 tankers are currently deployed in the border area, each one has been sent to Bijnor and Muzaffarnagar.
We will also send some tankers to Haryana.” Toi previously reported that Kanwarias arrived in ordinary clothing in the district, making it more difficult for the police to see them.
Now all passengers come out of the Hardwar train station are asked for RPCR reports and other information.
