Dehradun: Chairman of Uttarakhand Minister of Pushkar Singh Dhami announced the cash prize of RS 25 Lakh on Friday for members of the Indian Women’s Hockey Team Vandana Katariya for his appearance at the Tokyo Olympics.
“We are proud that Daughter Uttarakhand, Vandana Katariya made an unforgettable contribution to the performance of India in the Women’s Hockey at the Tokyo Olympics.
In recognition of this, he will be given a cash prize of Rs 25 Lakh,” Dhami said.
An interesting new sports policy will soon be introduced in the state that will help maintain beginner talents in different games, he added.
