Chennai: Professor V Kamakoti took over as the new Director of IIT Madras on Monday.
“My focus is to maintain IIT Madras at the top of the rating while constantly trying to increase academic and research advantages,” Kamakoti said in a statement.
He further said the focus would increase the reach and impact of online education, distance learning, working with the school education council in strengthening the holistic curriculum and skills development program.
He also wants to make IIT Madras, a campus choice for the global faculty, students and Industries.
