V-P Naidu to launch the Litfest Times today

The Sastra Times Festival is back – bigger, even better and in new online avatars.
Over the years, The Times Litfest has gained a formidable reputation as a platform where some of the world’s largest literary minds gather to discuss, debate and distinguish the problems and themes of combustion.
Schedule this year more than fulfill the bill, with Salman Rushdie, Rutger Bregman, Douglas Stuart and Elif Shafak among leading attractions.
To be launched by Venkaiiah Naidu, Indian vice president, at 5 pm today, this festival will display virtual interactions and exchange ideas.
It will extend for two months, starting August 27 to October 17, with sessions held every Saturday and Sunday.
Wednesday will be dedicated to launching books, reading books, and discussing around children’s literature.
Enchanting line-up from national and international best-selling writers including Salman Rushdie, Shashi Tharoor, Amish, Devdutt Pathiik, Ashwin Sanghi, Anita Nair, Suresh Raina, Elif Shenoy, Preeth Shenoy, Anand Neelakanan, Ravi Mukhotian, Ravi, Chitra Divakuni, Chetan Bhagat, Jeffrey Archer, the winner of the Douglas Stuart booker, historian Tom Holland, and lifestyle coach and gopal watershed monks, for only a few.
In addition, some of the largest names in the Hindi film industry, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Anupam Kapoor and Rakeysh Oomprakash Mehra, will participate.
So, order your weekend and get ready for an interesting idea festival! The opening ceremony with Venkaiiah Naidu’s vice president will begin at 5 this afternoon.
