Mumbai: Maharashtra receives 1.75 Crore Vials of Covid-19 vaccines per month and officials have been asked to increase the daily inoculation target to 15 lakh, Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Friday.
He said if many people were closed for the next few weeks, the third wave could be avoided, and even if people contracted an infection, they would not fall seriously ill.
“I speak with state immunization officials today and ask him to ascertain the daily vaccination rate is around 15 lakh.
This country receives an increase in supply.
Now as high as 1.75 Crore Vial per month,” Tope said told reporters.
“The country on average does 6,000 vaccination sessions per day and each session can analyzed around 200 people.
If we plan it better, we can vaccinate 15 lakh every day,” he added.
Asks to enable ‘Garba’ during the Navratri function, Tope says there will be a 50 percent presence limit of the venue capacity and all participants must comply with Norma Covid-19.
