Guwahati: Health Minister Assam Keshab Mahanta on Saturday said state government officials will face salary deductions from Monday if they fail to attend the office due to lack of vaccination.
“If some government officials fail to attend the office because they are not vaccinated, these officials will face salary deductions,” Manganta said.
He added that government officials could not miss the task quoting “lack of vaccines”.
Manganta added that no staff at government offices, educational institutions or commercial companies will be allowed to enter their workplace unless they get themselves vaccinated with at least the first dose of the Covid vaccine-19.
“From Monday, in front of each government office, educational institutions, self-declaration must be installed confirming ‘we all vaccinated’.
Everyone in this place must be vaccinated with the first dose at least,” said Manganta.
He added that even the private sector office had to hang banners, confirming that their staff had been inoculated.
The same instruction will apply to commercial institutions too.
“The wrong information in the self-declaration will be a violation that can be punished.
Each DC has been entrusted with the responsibility to maintain the vigil in their respective districts and ensure vaccination status in government offices under its jurisdiction, private offices and market areas,” said Manganta, warn that commercial companies that will be sealed by directives will be sealed by.
District authority.
Even when active cases in the state have declined to around 5,000, the minister said the second wave had not ended in Assam and the state faced the threat of the third wave.
Although quite a lot of performance given in Covid Curbs, Manganta said the government would become more stringent to ensure that the virus did not take the victim again.
Vaccination has gained momentum in the state with around 2.18 lakh vaccinated on Saturday itself.
Of the 2.31 Crore 18+ residents who qualified for vaccination, around 1.5 crore (1,50,70,749) had been inoculated with the first dose.
About 33.19 lakh (33.19.255) has got the second jab.
In Assam, more than a government office, the main focus is to reopen the school for class XII students, graduation and post-graduation students from Monday.
The minimum single dose vaccination for all is mandatory on campus, except for class XII students under 18 years.
Even when Thursday, Friday and Saturday is intended for vaccinations on campus, most of the principal and college have placed responsibility for teachers, non-teaching staff and students to be invested with their own capacity at the outside vaccination center.
Although the state government has enabled the reopening of educational institutions from Monday, additional SOP published by the State Education Department has clarified that educational institutions will be closed if the level of participation in the district crosses 2%.
SOP also states that every time a number of positive cases of Covid-19 are detected in educational institutions, this will be closed for seven days.
It has been directed by the Ministry of Education that a minimum physical distance of 6 feetes was followed when preparing arrangements sitting in the classroom.
