Thiruvananthapuram: Vaccination in schools in the state will begin on January 19.
In the last Covid review meeting, Minister of Pinarayi Vijayan’s head has asked the Ministry of Health and Education to make the necessary arrangements for vaccination camps for children between groups of 15-17 years in the school themselves.
It was decided to prevent children from getting away from others when coming to the vaccination center at the hospital.
Schools will be identified by each district assignment forces from the Ministry of Education.
It has been decided to make the school have at least 500 beneficiaries as a vaccination center.
Like the vaccination center in the hospital, schools must also have a waiting room, vaccination room, observation room and rest area for students.
The school where the vaccination center is being formed will be associated with the nearest government health center.
The school must prepare a list of children who have to be vaccinated in the center and the previous time must be repaired for each student.
It must be informed to the previous children to prevent meetings in school.
The Ministry of Health will provide a vaccination team, and schools must provide support staff.
Children must be stored in the observation room for 30 minutes after vaccination.
If there is a health problem, the vaccination team must immediately inform the nearest health center.
All vaccination centers at school will have an ambulance attached to oxygen facilities.
