Vaccination calculations in Thane cross the 8-lakh sign

Thane: The Covid-19 Vackination The Ine Corporation (TMC) boundary in Maharashtra crossed the 8 lakh mark on Thursday, said a citizenship official.
According to the release issued by the Civic Agency, a total of 8,00,584 people from the city of Thane have taken the Covid-19 vaccine Jab so far, where 424,310 beneficiaries are men and the rest are women.
This calculation includes pregnant women and transgender, among others, stated.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) Abhijit Bhangar has directed the Civic medical team to intensify the survey in connection with the detection of the Zika virus in the state.
A survey is being carried out to track people with fever and encouragement has been intensified within the limits of the Navi Mumbai (NMMC) numbers, where some cases of malaria and dengue fever were detected, said Public Relations Officers NMMC Mahendra Konde.
