TRICHY: Trichy district collector S Sivarasu on Thursday stated Covid-19 vaccination camps will be held ward-wise in colleges to prevent crowds at metropolitan main health centers (UPHCs).
The collector stated camps wouldn’t be held in UPHCs.
“It takes two or more weeks to 3 months for your universities to reopen.
Thus, we can recognize and use spacious colleges for running research teams,” said the collector.
Overcrowding in the vaccination sites may cause infections.
“We intend to maintain the vaccination peaks in four wards every day.
Each shield from every zone will maintain the camp.
It helps people cut down time in the vaccination peaks in the UPHCs,” the collector informed the reporters.
The company has 65 wards in four different zones.
The collector did not state if the decks could begin in universities.
He said another batch of vaccines could come weekly.
The collector stated Trichy district was in the sixth place concerning vaccination policy in Tamil Nadu.
It’d researched 4.05 lakh doses until Wednesday, ” he explained.
The district reached the only day maximum number of over 21,000 doses on Wednesday.
