CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu wellness division on Tuesday obtained 4.25 lakh doses of Covishield vaccine as many districts at the country complained of vacant inventory.
Health minister Ma Subramanian reported the new stock would assist the nation keep on the vaccination drive for a couple more days.

The country now has an inventory of 6.5 lakh doses of this vaccine.
“This will probably be dispersed throughout the country for vaccination in most districts.
All districts will begin vaccination by Wednesday,” he explained.
Priority and extra doses will be provided to the western districts, where the caseload is large.
The ministry said at 518 cases of mucormycosisblack or black fungus infection, and 17 deaths were reported on the general health division up to now.
“There’s still very little we know more about the origin of the disease.
We’re being advised using polluted water from air concentrators and industrial air tanks are a few of the motives,” he explained.
“But physicians are positive that intensive and early therapy helps people get over the disease, he explained.
The country has already issued a treatment protocol for health professionals to the fungal disease.
