Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) told that drive vaccination for pregnant women will begin on Thursday.
On Wednesday, the additional city commissioner BMC Suresh Kakani stated that pregnant women would be eligible to take Jab in 35 centers.
In the first phase, vaccination will be carried out at the main BMC teaching hospital, pregnant hospitals, and peripheral hospitals.

The central government has also published guidelines on vaccination of pregnant women: 1) Pregnant women can use vaccines at the relevant immunization center in the BMC area during the full post-pregnancy period.
2) Every pregnant woman must get complete information in this regard and after complete information must be vaccinated voluntarily (choice of information).
3.
Women who have developed Covid-19 and who have been treated with monoclonal antibodies or plasma recovery can be vaccinated after 12 weeks.
