Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said it would begin vaccination of houses of people riding on a bed in the city against Coronavirus experiments from Friday.
This initiative will be launched for the first time in the K-East Administration Ward which includes the western edge of Andheri Timur, Marol, Chakala and others, he said.
In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon, BMC said that residents, who were ridden to sleep for various physical or medical reasons, would be vaccinated based on this exercise starting July 30.
These citizens will be given a covaxin dose according to direction.
The expert committee and vaccination process will be carried out in the presence of experts, where all necessary precautions will be carried out, he said.
The Civic’s body said there was a request for vaccination of residents’ houses, which were ridden to sleep for a variety of physical or medical reasons and could not visit vaccination centers.
It added that the medical certificate stated that the person, who had to be vaccinated, had to be ridden to sleep at least for the next six months, must be submitted to the administration along with the approval of the person or the relative.
Vaccination residents of the bed will be carried out with the help of Project Mumbai, a non-government organization, BMC said.
After completing the home vaccination process in K-East Ward, the factors that must be included in the next phase of this exercise will be considered, he said.
BMC has asked people to send email information about the residents of the bed to covidvacc2bedridden@gmail.com.
It is said that so far has received details of 4,466 of these citizens.
