Thiruvananthapuram: All regional vaccine stores in the state have been dry because the country does not have a Covid-19 vaccine stock.
Meanwhile, the Government Government has agreed to provide 5 vaccine lakh on Wednesday.
The consignment will reach Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi.
Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s minister said five doses of the lakh vaccine that came to the country would be completed in two days running with vaccination speeds here.
Currently the country has recorded vaccination up to 4.5 lakh vaccination a day.
Therefore, the state requires sufficient stock in the coming days to provide at least four lakh vaccines a day, said the minister.
“Therefore it has been decided to write to the center again looking for more vaccines.
Before Onam, the state must achieve maximum vaccination,” said the ministerial chairman.
He also explained that the RT-PCR test results would not be made mandatory in the state to take vaccination.
Previously, the delegation of parliamentarians from the country met the health minister of Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi and told him about the need to send a vaccine consignment to the country.
In the meeting, the Union Minister promised that the vaccine would be sent immediately to the country.
The delegation led by MP Elamaram Kareem handed over a detailed report on vaccine deficiencies in the state and emphasized the need to vaccinate more people behind the increasing case.
The MPS delegation also told the minister that the vaccination drive was partly hit in the state since Monday due to lack of vaccines.
The textile showroom to open Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the government was considering allowing the opening of the textile showroom in the country gradually.
The showroom will be permitted to function with a limited number of employees and everything must be vaccinated before opening the store.
