Thane: Covid-19 vaccination drive on Wednesday will be conducted at 51 centers within the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) limit.
TMC Post Covid Center 2 will only manage Covaxin on Wednesday, while the remaining center will manage covishield.
Those over the age of 18 can only take the second dose of Covaxin in this TMC center.
This center is open to walk-in vaccination and will operate starting at 14:00 to 4pm.
TMC has allocated 50 doses to this center.
Those who have taken the first dose of Covaxin on 10 August now qualify for their second dose.
Except TMC Post Covid Center 1, 50 remaining TMC centers will manage the dose of covishield.
Special walk-in sessions have been held at TMC Post Covid Center 1 for students who will fly abroad for higher studies as well as people traveling for professional reasons.
The second dose of the covishield will be given at the center of 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Those who have taken the first dose of Covishield on June 15, now qualify for their second dose.
All centers will provide preferences to different city residents, pregnant women and nursing mothers, Civic’s body said.
Special walk-in sessions have been held for school and college staff, health care workers and frontline at the TMC CSC stadium and TMC Kausa.
The two doses of covishield will be given in these centers.
Meanwhile, 56 new Covid-19 cases were recorded on Tuesday, said a citizenship official.
