Nagpur: After remaining affected on Sunday, Covid-19 vaccination will continue in the city but with a limited slot on Monday.
Apart from shares received on Saturday, this district has been allocated more doses by the state government on Sunday.
Although it has received 27,000 covishield doses on Saturday and the dose of covaxin which is sufficient in stock, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) does not invest in 153 centers in the entire city on Sundays.
Vaccination has not occurred in 20 of the last 33 days in the city since the resumption of inoculation for the age group 18-44.
NMC Commissioner Municipal Additional Ram Joshi urged people not to swarm as “only 100 slots that will be available for the 18-44 age group at the Covishield center on Monday due to a low supply of the government”.
There will be no limits like that for 45-plus people.
The covaxin dose will continue in five centers.
On Sunday, 1,956 people took Jab in 17 private centers.
Consider the cumulative and newest data, very few people take Jab in private centers compared to the NMC center despite the availability of irregular doses at the last.
If the dose is quite available, around 30,000 people take Jab in a day at the center of NMC.
In accordance with NMC data, 12.36,232 doses given in the city like on Saturday.
Of the total dosage, 11,45,771 (92.68%) was given in NMC centers and the remaining 90,461 (7.32%) in private centers.
Vaccination requests have increased multiply since the commencement of inoculation for the age group 18-44 on June 23.
Since then, the supply in the NMC center is irregular.
Third vaccine – Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik V – are available in private centers since May 31.
In rural areas, 7,515 people took JAD on Sunday.
Thus, 9,471 people benefited in the district on Sunday.
The government has allocated a new stock of 81,000 doses of covishield for the district on Sunday.
The dose is expected to arrive on Monday.
This will help in the continuation of vaccination on Tuesday in the city.
