Jaipur: Anukriti Sharma (28) went to the vaccination center located in Jhotwara for the third consecutive day to get its first dose and after a long wait he was told that there were no vaccines available.
Similar scenes were witnessed in various vaccination centers because the state health department was left with a very little number of vaccines on Friday throughout the state.
In his daily report, the Ministry of Health stated that 58,382 people from various categories received vaccines on Friday where 42,750 received the first dose, while 15,632 received a second dose.
But the authorities confirmed that on Saturday vaccination would gain momentum because at least 7 doses of lakh were sent to centers throughout the state.
When the health department gets almost 2 lakh more doses in the afternoon, they are left with a stock of almost 7 doses of lakh.
“Hopefully on Saturday, we will have a good vaccination because the stock of 7 lakh doses will reach throughout the state on Saturday morning,” said Raghuraj Singh, a vaccination told toi.
“If they get 5 doses of lakh on a certain day, they consume the whole of the following day is their policy so far.
They are more interested in making notes and making hype but they also have to take responsibility when we are asked to return because of the lack of dosage,” said Digvijay Bhandari seen in the vaccination center in Malviya Nagar and wanted to get the second dose of Covaxin.
