Ranchi: When health experts advise the reinforcement dose (third) Covid vaccine for effective management from the possibility of the third wave triggered by the Omnicron strain, only about 52% of all Ranchi police, considered the frontline soldier during a pandemic, has received the second dose so far.
In all countries, 92% of police personnel have been given a dose but the numbers are gloomy in the state capital.
A total of 1,455 police personnel also have not received the first dose in the state.
According to official data, of a total of 69,454 police personnel in Jharkhand, 67,999 had received their first dose and 64,315 had received both doses.
However, from 5,486 police personnel in Ranchi, only 2,835 police personnel who received both doses.
At the state level, 3,684 police have not received their second dose 2,267 coming from Ranchi police.
It can be mentioned here that several districts, including East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Palamu, Garhwa and Girline have reached almost 100% double-dose vaccination.
SP (Ranchi Rural) Naushad Alam expressed concern over gloomy numbers.
He said, “All the police have been instructed to get both doses.
It is possible that they have taken the second dose and there is a delay uploading data.
I will ask this problem.” Other officials also said there was no doubt between police personnel.
He said, “The vaccination center functions on the police line where the personnel and family members they get shots.”
