Guwahati: When the Government Assam clamped a round room in seven Assam District on Tuesday, the exposure to the virus without a vaccine shield had placed many people in these districts in a vulnerable state.
While vaccinations came to the termination of milling in many Assam districts a few days ago, even the single vaccination center operated in Goalpara and Biswanath on Tuesday – two of the seven districts in complete detention.
Inoculation drives in other vulnerable districts can be immediately suspended, if the country does not accept the vaccine consignment in the next few days.
In the Golaghat and Sonitpur districts, which are at the top of the district of the highest cases in the last 10 days, only 21 and 33 vaccination centers operating until Tuesday afternoon.
But the rest of the vulnerable district has also struggled to meet vaccination demand.
In Jorhat, only seven session sites were operating, while in Lakhimpur and Morigaon, four and a functional session site.
Among other districts, Bongaigaon also cannot operate any center during the day.
“There is absolutely no stock of covishield in our district since Monday.

The aim is among the districts who received a large response to inoculation drives when launched on June 21.
The capacity is to be inoculating 15,000 to 20,000 people per day through 105 session sites made in the district.

Bharali said from 7.02 lakh 18+ the population in the district, around one lakh people were vaccinated to date.
“If the third wave touches the middle state of this acute vaccine shortage, not only children but adults must also face the risk of large infections,” he said.
Officials say the emphasis of state government is to provide more vaccines for districts where most cases have been reported.

More than 100 sites operated at the beginning of Mega Drive in Sonitpur last month.

According to the schedule with the state immunization office, the next consignment of the Covid vaccine is likely to arrive on July 12.
Minister of Himanta Minister Buswa Sarma said that in the meantime, health staff must prioritize the vaccination of children for other diseases.
“Conventional immunization for children should not take back seats during Covid.
Otherwise children will be susceptible to other diseases.
Until the Covid vaccine is available, more labor must be involved for children’s immunization in the next week,” Sarma said.
About 77.10 Lakh doses have been managed in Assam, although 18+ populations that will be accounced more than two crores.
