MUMBAI: BJP chief Kirit Somaiya has required the BMC show details of each of the Seven bids it acquired for its international tender for a single crore vaccines.
Somaiya was accusing the BMC management of committing a scam and also said that the rejection of nine bids Friday vindicated his stance.
Though the globals tenders floated by several nations including Maharashtra, Delhi, Punjab failed to get any reaction the BMC obtained nine bids.
Late Friday evening that the BMC issued a media release stating it had refused all of the nine bids since the documents weren’t in order.
At a letter to airborne commissioner Iqbal Chahal, Somaiya alleged many of these bids submitted were imitation since the firms came on paper.
A few of the firms were formed only a couple of days before filing the bids.
“They had no expertise, no jurisdiction and their monetary backgrounds were not assessed,” he explained.
Chahal denied to comment Somaiya’s allegations.
The letter says that tender states were often changed without logic and transparency.
“Until the deadline for submission of bids just three were obtained by the BMC.
On the previous day only a couple hours ahead of the entry timing finished the BMC obtained five tenders many of these benami and imitation.
The bids had been submitted with no relevant documents along with the BMC accommodated those forecasts by extending the deadline for entry by eight days” Somaiya reported the BMC have to disclose the names of those bidders along with the relaxations in tender states it had given to them together with reasons for exactly the exact same.
“The history of all of the bidders have to be researched and the imitation ones have to be penalized,” he explained.
