A jewelry lost his gold ornaments worthy of lakh rupees in just two and a half seconds! The incident occurred in Khodiyarnagar on Wednesday afternoon when Ronak Soni sat behind a table at his jewelry store.
An unknown man walked to the Vallabh Darshan jewelry shop wearing a hoodie and jeans around 12:30 a.m.
Soni is busy showing some gold ornaments to customers.
The defendant casually approached Soni and then threw the chili powder to him.
Before Soni and an employee who sat continuing to react, the defendant took three gold chains weighed around 30 grams and ran out of the store.
CCTV footage from the store has caught a picture of Soni but the face of the defendant did not look like he closed his head with a hat in the hoodie and he kept looking down to ensure that the camera did not record his face.
“Soni ran towards a wait outside the shop with a motorcycle.
The defendant and the man on the bike fled towards Khodiyarnagar Crossroads where CCTV caught their pictures.
But the duo then disappeared on several lanes,” said Jignesh Patel, Inspector Police, Bapod police station.
Patel added that the motorbike they used did not have a plate.
“We have formed three different teams to track the duo,” he said.
Police said that the defendant might have recce of the Shrea Floor of Shreeji Plaza and they chose the afternoon to commit a crime when the crowd was thinning during the day.
Showroom jewelry is flanked by a cellular store and clothing store.
In February this year, a man stabbed an owner of showing jewelry on Jalan Padra Old and looted all the ornaments in the shop.
