Coimbatore: The Vaiko MDMK leader on Sunday condemned the Minister of Home Union Amit Shah about overcoming Hindi as the official language of the State.
In his statement, Vaiko said that during the Indian Rajbasha conference recently in Varanasi, Amit Shah was repeatedly called Hindi from India.
“In addition, Shah has said that even one document in English in the home ministry because Hindi has been adopted as a language.
This is contrary to the constitution and efforts to eliminate all 22 languages listed in the eighth schedule,” Vaiko said.
Leaders further condemned the Ministry of Home to send all communications in Hindi from non-Hindi-language countries.
Vaiko also urged the state government to send all communications sent from the home ministry in Hindi.Tnn
