Vaishnaw called ‘Rail Parivar’ after taking over the train ministry

New Delhi: For some personnel at Rail Bhawan, it was a pleasant surprise on Friday when the new Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw visited several rooms at the headquarters to see working conditions.
He urged all staff to think like family and work together to feel the “satisfaction of doing something”.

The minister also urged staff to maintain the Covid-19 protocol.
On Thursday, the minister’s office had issued an internal round for staff in Mr.
(cell minister of train) for the deployment of personnel in two shifts – one from 7am to 4pm and others until midnight.
“We have started implementing this from Friday itself,” said an official.
The source said the Minister told representatives of the employee federation that they had to “accept them as members of their family” and that they have a common goal to do the best for the organization.
The minister said the focus is to benefit from the train to the poor and vulnerable and can be achieved when everyone works together.
Officials said the minister led two marathon meetings in the last two days – one in the rebuilding of stations and others in working trains where all members made detailed presentations.
The ministry has set a target to start a rebuilding work for 123 stations in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode in 2024.
It has also set a target to complete the bidding process for private passenger trains this year, the production of 32 Vande Bharat Trainsets in 2024.
