Letter: A police sub-inspector (PSI) and his friend was arrested for transporting Foreign Liquor Made India (IMFL) worth Rs 3.3 Lakh from Daman to Gujarat on Friday.
They were held at Bamanpuja checkpoints in the Valsad District.
Accused of Psi Pravin Balda posted at the Kalgam State Reserve Police (SRP) Camp.
The police also arrested his friend Pritam Patel.
During checking, the police stopped the baldap car that had a ‘police’ written on it.
After asking the police identity card checking the balda car and found liquor and that they went to Daman to buy liquor.
“Balda goes to his origin in Maharashtra.
It seems like he doesn’t sell liquor but further probes will reveal further details,” police said.
