Vande Bharat Exp is likely to be introduced between Ranchi and Howrah in April ’23

Ranchi: The train may operate Vande Bharat Express between Ranchi and Howrah stations in April 2023, officials have hinted.
Vande Bharat Express 16-coach high-speed, which was first launched in 2018, can sail at a maximum speed of 180 km per hour.
At present, only two trains operate with one between New Delhi and Varanasi and the others between New Delhi and Katra (Jammu and Kashmir).
South East Railways (SER) official said the train board had given its principle approval to operate the train.
According to the initial plan, one sweep (from 16 coaches) will be placed at the Hata train station while others will be placed in Kharagpur.
Officials said the train compiled a plan to launch 75 semi-speed trains on August 15 next year to mark the 75th Independence Year India.
However, for the Ranchi division, it will be difficult to maintain the speed of the train.
“Vande Bharat Express usually operates at a speed of 130 km per hour.
However, if the train runs between Ranchi and Howrah, the speed must be limited between Ranchi and Railway Roll which currently has a maximum speed limit of up to 80 km per hour due to tracing problems,” said a senior railroad official.
However, Senior Senior Officials refused to comment on their development.
While trains such as Shatabdi Express, InterCity Express and Kriyoga Express usually include a distance of 420 km between Ranchi and Howrah in seven hours, Vande Bharat Express is expected to cover the distance within less than five hours.
When contacted, MP Ranchi Sanjay Seth welcomed the decision.
“There is a need to improve Ranchi connectivity with the main business center such as Kolkata and if it is operational, Vande Bharat Express will run far in serving the purpose,” Seth Toi said.
Meanwhile, SER on Sunday canceled three trains, namely, Passenger Train-Tatanagar-Hata, Bokaro Steel City – Asansol – Bokaro City passenger trains and ADRA – Barkakakana – Special Train Adra passengers until November 1 because non -interlocking works at Muri Train Station.
Ranchi-asansol-ranchi passenger trains will remain suspended between Ranchi and Purulia Junction Stations until November 1 while passenger trains specifically for Ranchi-Kharagpur passengers will operate between Adra and Kharagpur stations.
