Varanasi: Remember the third wave of Covid-19 anticipated, the district government has prepared to launch a broad special drive in the Pulse Polio campaign pattern from September 7 for Covid-19 sensitization and control of infectious diseases.

VB Singh held a meeting in this case on Friday.
He said that special drives will continue until September 16.
The encouragement will be made from the door to the door in each village in rural areas and every ward in urban areas to identify and register people with Covid-19 symptoms and other diseases of fever, TB, Dengue, Malaria and Chikungunya.
The Asha and Aanganwadi workers have been formed for this encouragement.
Assistance voluntary organizations, the Ministry of Education, Raj Pancayati Department, Rural Development, Local Agency, Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Agriculture, NCC, NSS, Who and UNICEF will also be taken in this drive.
Meanwhile, no one was tested positive for Covid-19 in the Varanasi district on Friday and there was no death because Coronavirus infection was reported in the last 24 hours.
According to a daily medical bulletin, the cumulative number of positive cases is 82,387, while the number of recovery is 81,607 in this district.
At present, there are seven active cases of Covid-19 in Varanasi.
In the Chandauli district, no new Covid-19 case was reported on Friday.
The number of positive cases and recovery remains the same (16,205 and 15,846 respectively) in the district.
At present, Chandauli has three active cases of Covid-19.
Jaunpur District reported a new case of Coronavirus infection on Friday, increasing the number of positive cases to 22,572.
Once 22,336 patients had recovered in the district.
At present, Jaunpur has one active Covid-19 case before, the Sonbhadra district reported no new Covid-19 case and no recovery on Thursday.
The number of positive cases is 17.042, while the number of patients heals is 16,783.
At present, Sonbhadra has two active Covid-19 cases.
