Varanasi: The Union State Minister for MSMEs, Shri Bhanu Pratap Singh Versma said that Varanasi has emerged as the center of Khadi activities in recent years.
After inaugurating the 15-day exhibition from Khadi products organized by the Khadi Commission and the Village Industry (KVIC) at the Rudraksh International Convention Center, Verma was handling the craftsmen convention from 12 East Regency on Sunday.
Praising the KVIC to regulate exhibitions and hold a craftsmen convention, “Varanasi, in recent years, has emerged as the center of various activities of Khadi.

“KVIC has established a large number of Khadi institutions, the labor generation program unit and fund scheme for the regeneration of traditional traditional industrial groups (SFurti) to strengthen traditional arts and empower local craftsmen.

Various beautiful khadi products including high-altitude honey premium from J & K, various wool scarves Kashmiri and Rajasthani, Muslin fabric from West Bengal, various silk fabrics from West Bengal and Bihar, Shawls from Punjab, Leather products from Kanpur, Terracotta pottery from Rajasthan And Uttar Pradesh, a mirzapur and prayagraj hand carpet which is widely recognized is the biggest tourist spot at the exhibition.
This was the second exhibition that was held by Kvic in Varanasi since Covid-19 locking.
