Varanasi: The city witnessed a surge in Covid infection with eight new cases reported on Thursday, increasing the number of active cases to 16.
Because the number of Covid cases increased, local administration and the Ministry of Health had accelerated their steps to streamline medical arrangements and facilities.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr.
Sandeep Choudhary said that 14 static booths, those already in urban areas and rural areas in the district, have been reactivated for Corona’s investigation.
He said that in the second wave of Covid, this static booth has played an important role for Corona’s investigation.
He appealed to people to be tested immediately if the symptoms similar to Covid were seen.
According to him, six static booths in the city area including Swami Vivekananda Memorial Hospital, Bhelupur, Lal Bahadur Government Hospital Shastri, Ramnagar, Urban CHC, Shivpur, SPG Hospital, Kabirchaura, Esik Hospital, Pandeypur and Static, Bhu, while there are eight booths Static in rural areas, including PHC Baragaon, PHC Kashi Vidyapeth, PHON Sedapuri, PHC Pindra, PHC HARHUA, PHC Chiraigaon, CHC Cholapur and Chc Arajiline.
District supervision officers and ACMO Dr.
SS Kannaujiya stated that free facilities from antigen and RPCR tests were available at all of these centers.
While at the BHU static booth, free facilities from True-Nat, CB-NAT, antigens and RTPCR are available at the BHU static booth.
People can be tested at Swami Vivekananda Bhelupur, LBS Hospital Ramnagar, Urban CHC Shivpur and SPG Hospital Kabirchaura from 8am to 2 noon, while investigative facilities will be available in other centers from 10am to 4pm.
