Varanasi: While giving many projects to Varanasi on Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also launched a portal and logo dedicated to the Suitment Assessment Scheme (CAS) of dairy products developed by the Indian Standard Bureau (BIS) with the assistance of developing the National Dairy (BISN) (NDDB).
The Unified Dairy Mark was launched below the CAS, which was notified by the bus on December 8.
The initiative carried out by the Department of Animal Husbandry and the Businessmaker shows the quality and safety of food in the dairy sector by bringing an increase in the dair process.
This will help increase consumer confidence in dairy products produced and sold in India and ensure consistency in the application of food security throughout milk companies.
NDDB and BIS have been involved in process certification and products, respectively.
While NDDB has provided a ‘quality sign’ to various cooperative milk plants that comply with process standards throughout the milk value chain, the bus has provided product certification for various dairy products under the certification of bus products for products.
CAS will simplify the process of certification and logos that are easily recognized will convince consumers about the quality of dairy products and in turn, increase sales thus add to the income of dairy farmers associated with this sector.
