Bengaluru: Courts in Madhugiri in the Tumakuru District, Karnataka, have issued a warrant that is not inappropriate (NBW) against the revolutionary activist and poet Varavara Rao.
He came out with a guarantee for medical reasons in different cases with a condition not to move from Mumbai, his lawyer said.
“This is a case relating to the attack on police in Tumaku in 2005 where Varavara Rao and Gaddar (other activists) are among the defendants,” Advocate S Baan told PTI.
He said he would move the High Court on Monday that challenged NBW issued by the additional session court in the city of Madhugiri.
The case where Rao has been accused of associated with the attack by Naxalites on the police team who killed six of them and a civilian in Venkatammanahalli in Pavagada Taluk in the Tumakuru District on February 10, 2005.
