Varsity letter for delayed visas, Angola youth threatened to jump on the 15th floor

Greater Noida: In all possibilities, Antonio Mubai did not know Veeru from Sholay.
His chances of seeing Blockbuster 1975 were much thinner.
But 21-year-old students from Angola certainly know to reach new heights – literally – to complete something.
On Sunday morning, Antonio went up to the 15th floor terrace from a building under construction behind the Oaraxe Mall Greater Noida and threatened to jump up and down.
But unlike Veeru, who tried to persuade “mausi” to approve his match with his nephew, Antonio was annoyed with his university for delaying the bona fid certificate he needed to renew the Indian visa.
Antonio studies computer applications at a private university in Greater Noida.
In a video that became viral in a few minutes posted on social media, Antonio could be seen sitting on the edge of the roof with his legs dangling.
Sometimes, he stood up and walked close to the edge of the building.
Police, who have placed the net at the base of the building, have fun communicating with youth from Angola.
The police called Charles Kennedy, President “African leaders above”, and he arrived to talk to Antonio.
“He asked his university for a bonafid letter, but the officials continued to postpone it.
That’s when he thought of taking extreme steps,” Charles said, who went to the terrace to persuade Antonio to go down.
But he must stand 6-8ft, don’t let him jump.
“After a lot of persuasion, he asked me to get a call from his girl’s flats and called one of his Indian friends.
I did that,” he added.
“The moment of Jai-Veeru” happened around 2:00 p.m., when Antonio’s best friend, Sonupathy, arrived and convinced him to go down.
Then at night, a team from Angolan Embassy arrived and spoke with Antonio.
“We will go to university on Tuesday and sort out the problem,” Charles said.
