The University of Michigan has approved the completion of $ 490 million with hundreds of people who said they were sexually attacked by former sports doctors at school, those involved in the agreement said on Wednesday.
Parker Stinar lawyer said that 1,050 people would share settlements, which reached the night before.

“I am proud to announce that the completion was reached by 1,050 victims from Robert Anderson and Michigan University,” said Stinar.
“This is a long and challenging trip, and I believe this settlement will provide justice and healing for many men and brave women who refuse to be silenced.” The University has been in mediation to resolve several lawsuits by most men who say Anderson suffered sexually harassment during a regular medical examination.
Anderson worked at the University since 1966 until he retired in 2003 and was the Director of University Health Services and doctors for several athletic teams, including football.
A number of football players and other athletes advanced to accuse Anderson, who died in 2008, sexually abusing it.
A report by the company employed by the school determines that the staff missed many opportunities to stop Anderson for 37 years of his career.
