New Delhi / Luckynow / Bareilly: A few days after tweeting support to farmers who protested new agricultural law, BJP MP from Pilibhit Varun Gandhi demanded the price of sugar cane advisory (SAP) for the coming destructive season to be raised to Rs 400.
per quintal.
Demand, seen in the light of sympathy for unions who are preparing to campaign against BJP in the poll, it seems to show that MP is not on the page.
The state government has maintained SAP has not changed over the past three years after making a rise from Rs 305 to Rs 315 per quintal in 2017.
Varun’s observation vis-vis sugar cane farmers coming because CM Yogi has suggested a very default action on payment of stick contributions to farmers .
Speaking with Toi, the day after he shot from a letter on Saturday, MP, said, “The last few years have become an economicly turmoil period, more for our farmers who have undergone the burden for many things.
As a public representative who has written about The rural economy and work with farmers for many years, I feel the request that I made for CM is financially affordable and can be directly actualized and will be very helpful in normalizing government relations.
