Vax 7L target, but k’taka is struggling to stab 2L a day

Bengaluru: On the Day of Yoga International (June 21), the state government has announced that it will aim for 7 lakh vaccinations a day but the review of the number of doses is managed because it shows Karnataka struggling to invest even 2 lakh people on almost every day.
Between June 21 and July 13, the country crossed 3 doses of lakh only at three days (see Graph) – June 25, 28 and July 3 – According to the Covid Country Bulletin, which captures data every day at 3:30.
The lowest daily coverage in this period was on July 11, when only 89,037 doses were given.
The central government took over vaccination from June 21, procurement and providing doses to the United States and private hospitals.
On June 21, Karnataka vaccinated 5.7 lakh people.
Supported by performance, the Minister of Health Sudhakar said the state would cover 7 lakh vaccination a day and with the arithmetic, will donoculate everyone who qualifies in Karnataka at the end of the year.
He continued to say that if each of the 13,000 covid vaccination centers (CVC) in this country served even 70-80 people a day, the aim would be fulfilled.
However, inventory failed to follow the plan, paralyzed the country’s vaccination campaign.
Sudhakar recently visited Delhi, looking for a 1.5 crore vaccine for the country every month.
In July so far, 31.2 lakh doses have been given, against 88 lakh in the entire June, 38.6 lakh in May, 57.3 lakh in April and 28.9 lakh in March.
These include beneficiaries that have taken the first or second dose.
So far, almost 2.6 doses of crore vaccines have been given, including 2.1 Crore as the first dose.
The erratic vaccine supply is a problem: BBMon June 21, Bengaluru just vaccinated 1,73,045 people but the number shrank up to 75.251 the following day.
This increased to 1.1 lakh on June 25, falling to 76,683 on June 30.
The lowest coverage of the city was recently on July 11 when 41,995 doses are administration.
Dr.
BK Vijendra, the BBMP Chief Health Officer, said the erratic vaccine supply was a problem.
He said 60,000-80,000 people were vaccinated every day, on average, accepting average doses, both private and government centers were put together.
“We get 40,000-50,000 doses a day.
There is no stock on a few days.
If the supply is simplified, coverage can be improved,” he said.
Private hospitals that have been waiting for the government supply channel are now relieved because the government’s portal has begun to receive indentation.
“In Maharashtra, the hospital has begun to get inventory.
We expect the same here too,” said Dr.
HM Prasanna, president of a private hospital and the Association of Jompo Panti.
