Gurgaon: Three District Haryana has given at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine to 50% of their population – Gurgaon (86.71%), Panchkula (51.7%) and Ambala (50.7%).
The population projected by the country, based on the 2011 census, is 2.92 crores.
Vaccine coverage has been calculated based on the population projections of each district estimated by the state government.
Gurgaon, where the vaccination rate was hit hard due to lack of doses in the first two weeks of June, has seen the biggest increase in Haryana Regency since June 21, when the center controlled the vaccine distribution again.
According to government estimates, the projected population will be included in the city is 17.46 lakh.
Until July 9, 15.14 doses of lakh were given.
Not all who have taken vaccines in Gurgaon will be a city resident.
So far, 12.49 people have received their first dose in the city.
The Ministry of Health hopes to provide at least one dose in the entire population in the next one and a half months.
“We aim to give at least the first dose for everyone.
We have worked on plans to increase our reach in rural areas and vaccinate them because of their second dose.
We are preparing a second dose site dedicated to avoiding density,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, head Medical Gurgaon.
While Panchkula has also provided 51.7% of the population at least one dose, with a population projected only 6.44 lakh – almost a third of Gurgaon – it can do more.
A Panchkula Health official said the vaccination rate was slow because the majority of the population consisted of migrants.
Ambala, who has a population projected by 13.1 lakh, has successfully covered 50.7% of the population in Covid vaccination drive by compiling several NGOs, the Committee of the Religious Market and Religious Group.
“We provide a dose of 1.35 lakh between June 22 and July 9 when we aggressively founded the camp and reached out to community leaders.
We also provide transportation facilities to the recipient,” said an official at the Ambala Health Department.
Faridabad has also done quite well – against a population that is projected by 20.75 lakh, he has managed to manage 9.42 lakh doses so far, which means 45.4% of the population has at least one dose.
REWARI has covered 43.3% of the population of 10.33 lakh so far.
However, Sonīpat, the other big NCR district has been left behind.
With a population that is projected 17.07 lakh, he has given a dose of 5.39 lakh so far (coverage of 31.6%), while Karnal, which has a population similar to Gurgaon (17.38 lakh), has given a dose of 5.24 Lakh, which covers 30% of the population.
Haryana has given 70.32 doses of lakh until June 21, which rose to 96.08 lakh on July 9.
This means that between June 22 and July 9, the country provides more than 25.76 lakh doses, which are more than four of all the doses given so far.
Districts who witnessed the maximum increase in vaccination between June 22 and July 9 was Gurgaon (with a 63.1% increase since June 21), Charchi Dadri (50.8%), fatehabad (42.8%), Kaithal (38, 2) and Hisar (38.2)%).
Palwal witnessed the least increase in vaccinations in this period in 19.1%, followed by Ambala (26.1%), Sonīpat (28.3%), Rohtak (29.2%) and Yamcoma (29.5%).
The district with the least vaccination coverage on July 9 was Noah (9.3%), Jind (18.2%), Aperar (20.5%), Kaithal (22.7%) and Panipat (23.9%).
These districts have maximum rural areas where vaccine doubts are still valid.
Officials say the state is increasingly focusing on rural areas now to increase vaccination.
“The rate of vaccination has experienced a steep increase in Haryana in the past month, especially after the center of revising its guidelines and said private hospitals will be supplied by doses through the state government from June 21,” said Dr.
Virender Ahway, the country’s immunization, officers.
“On July 7, the revised communication stated that the hospital had to place an order for a dose through a co-win victory.
It aims to be more advanced to push the vaccination drive.”
