Kottayam: Even as a Junior Public Health Nurse (JPHN) at the Government Hospital conducted an unimaginable task to vaccinate 893 individuals on the day of the eight-hour range, nurses and supervisors of the nurse Kerala government have asked them to consider their frontline covid workers and fill a large number vacancies because more labor is needed for their wings during a pandemic.

The 43-year-old had no complaints about workload and said that “I will continue vaccination if people are still in the queue.” He began his job at 9:30 a.m.
and 1pm around 400 people were vaccinated.
“There is an invasion of migrant workers later during the day.
I don’t want to deny their vaccination,” he said, adding that experienced nurses need 30 seconds to vaccinate someone.
“Syringe must be taken and loaded with vaccines.
During this time, we must make the person relax and provide the direction needed.
While vaccination we must be careful,” he added.
Meanwhile, President of Union Jayasree PK said health workers from the wings they had to plan, make arrangements and write detailed reports for the health department after vaccination every day.
“The work has been tiring and we really need labor,” he said, adding that public health wing workers in direct contact with people.
“Because of the pandemic, our involvement in vaccination drives and related work, our main work is like care for mothers and children and prevention of epidemics has suffered,” he added.
He said that there were 236 vacancies for public health nurses and some in the case of Phn Junior who needed to be filled.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Veena George who visited the recent district hospital, congratulated Pushpalata for his efforts.
He said health workers like Pushpalata were the pride of the department.
Pushpalata who got a job through the PSC test two years ago to the minister that he secured work after struggling a lot in life.
