Kolkata: With only a week remaining for the launch of vaccines for children in the age group 15-18, parents hope to register their wards and make them inner initial.
“As the old man is a children of aid in the 15-18 year old bracket now will get vaccine protection.
I will ensure that my child takes it earlier.
He is currently taking an ISC exam on the school campus,” said Susita Saha from the house Fortis pain.
In Bengal, while several schools have begun opening physical classrooms, some still stick to online mode.
Now, Omicron’s fear can delay the reopening of the school waiting for the Covid situation to be improved.
“Even when my daughter’s school has been reopened with the option for online mode, I have chosen the latter, because I was afraid of sending it to school because she was not vaccinated.
I will register its name immediately after co-win open,” said Homemaker Swati Biswas, Mother of 16 year old child.
Brand promotion AGM Peerless Hospital, Suchemita Sharma, also plans to make her son vaccinated earlier.
“So vaccinated, I will feel far believed that letting him go to school or to other social events.
Some subjects such as mathematics and physics are becoming increasingly difficult through online classes.
After vaccinated, I can at least send him to college classes,” Sharma said.
Of the seven Omicron cases confirmed in Bengal so far, one is a child.
And there is one child among those who are under institutional quarantine.
Even when Omicron proved to be a minor illness in other countries, doctors said we still did not have enough data to suggest the same in India and strongly advocate for vaccine cover for children.
“The doctor said the pediatric population that was not vaccinated the most suffered in the next wave.
In such cases, the vaccine launched for this population is a welcome step,” said Debolina Sen, the teacher at Ling Liang High School.
According to the guidelines issued on Monday night by the Ministry of Health Union, all 15 years old (born in 2007 or before) or more will be able to register on Co-Win.
They can register or register in place.
Likewise appointments can be ordered in place or online.
