Nagpur: Covid-19 vaccine quota for private hospitals is not fully consumed, said Collector District R Vimala during a press meeting at the Patrakar Nagpur club on Tuesday.
Of the total supply of vaccine doses, 25% are set aside for private hospitals where paid vaccination is done.
However, because “general reluctance for paid vaccines”, quota is not fully consumed, collectors are added.
The collector filed an appeal that those who were able to have to go for a paid vaccine.
In the Nagpur district, which includes areas outside the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) limit, 58% of the population has been given at least the first dose of the vaccine.
As for the second dose, around 22% of the target population have been covered.
This program runs as expected, he said.
“The area outside the city limits is below the Collectorate District.
The officer said there was no vaccine for the district,” he added.
The collector said he would send another proposal to the government to allow restaurants to operate until 8pm.
A similar proposal was sent before but was not accepted.
The previous collector also took care of relaxation in time norms for restaurants, said Vimala.
He further said Norma Covid is currently expected to prevent large meetings, which can occur in restaurants and wedding rooms.
“There are sidewalks in the restaurant because of cleanliness factors.
For example, washing occurs in the same basin and the surface can remain wet regardless of all treatments.
This might make the restaurant more susceptible to the spread of infection,” Collector added.
In the third possible third wave, he said adequate preparation was already there to manage patients.
“The bed will be set aside for pediatric patients.
