Vax Drive Bengal at Run Bull After August Encourion Last Week

Kolkata: With a stable supply vaccine in the past few weeks, the State Health Department has accelerated the inoculation drive by expanding the coverage of the vaccine.
On Monday, 55% plus a qualified population in Bengal has at least one dose of vaccine.
Health officials say if supply continues, the state can increase the drive further.
According to the sources of the Ministry of Health, the state government has received 1 dose of crore plus in August, where 42 lakh plus doses arrived in the past week.
In fact, the dose of 16.7 lakh covishield the country on Sunday has become the biggest consignment to arrive in a day since the commencement of the immunization drive.
On Monday also, the country received another shipment of 6.3 lakh covishield doses.
Unbroken supply has encouraged coverage of vaccinations with countries that manage close to 5 doses of lakh regularly for about a week.
In the past week, the dose of 5 lakh plus was given on two days.
“We are ready to vaccinate as much as we can.
For this, there must be a regular and guaranteed supply.
It will allow us to plan ahead for a dose of 5-6 lakh per day.
If the supply rises further, we can expand our drive accordingly, “Ajay Chakraborty Health Services Director said.
About 5.6 lakh jab was given on August 27, making it the highest number of shots offered in a day in Bengal.
The country also crossed another milestone from the intersection of the second dose of 1 Crore on that day.
As many as 2,98.01,167 doses were given in Bengal on August 1, of which 59 lakh plus doses were given to the recipient between 18-44 age groups.
On Monday, this number jumped to around 4 crores (1.1 Crore plus second dose) and around 1.7 crore (age group 18-44).
Bengal gets part of a slightly more than 85 doses of lakh in July.
While 1 Jab Crore comes to Kitty State in August, the supply of vaccines is likely to rise in September with an Union Ministry of Health officials that convinced around 1.3 crore doses for the coming month.
“We can go for certain drives and increase vaccination operations.
We can manage around 10 lakh doses with existing facilities and infrastructure.
But for this, we need to have such supplies,” said a health department official.
And with talks from the school again back post Durga Puja, the Ministry of Health has also decided to ensure full vaccine coverage to the teacher.
“The majority of teachers have received a vaccine shot.
But to ensure that it includes every teacher before the school is reopened, the district school inspector has been asked to collect and compile unvaccinated teacher data,” said the Welfare Officer of the Ashim Watershed state of the Malang.
With almost 70% of the kolkata population that meets the conditions covered with at least one dose, the health department now wants to provide materials to other districts.
In contrast to the first wave, when many districts remain unaffected or only partially affected, the second wave penetrates deep into Bengal rural.
Health experts say the district also requires a vaccine protection equivalent.
