Guwahati: Assam is set to launch another vaccination drive this month with a team that moves from door to door below each polling station to invest that still has not been obtained with the first dose.
Between 22 and 27 November, the chairman of the minister, lawmaker, MLA, secretary head, the most popular bureaucrat, and deputy commissioner will visit households under PurView from the Polling Station, they are allocated and ensure that everyone is vaccinated with the first dose.
Health, Asha workers and village heads have been in work to study vaccine status in all districts.
They will submit their reports to each polling station.
“We will conduct a complete vaccination campaign in the election mode above Assam under the Har Ghar Dastak program imagined by the prime minister and guided by the ministerial chief,” said the Director of the National Health Mission Assam Lakshmania told toi on Wednesday.
The sources of the State Health Department said that around 95% of 18 citizens who fulfill the state requirements have been inoculated with the first dose of the Covid vaccine.
But the central government data on Tuesday showed it was 86%.
“Incompatibility in this target because the population estimates vary by the state and central government.
By visiting every area of ​​voting station, we want to make sure how many people are left to be vaccinated,” said a senior health department official.
While the state government believes that the target in Assam is around 2.10 crores, the number of several lakhes is more appropriate for the central estimate.
Even going with central data, Assam is in front of the national average in the first dose coverage, which has touched 79%.
On the other hand, the second dose coverage in this country has been 37%, equivalent to the national average.
As far as the first dose coverage, Assam is in front of a solid state such as West Bengal (81%), Maharashtra (74%), Tamil Nadu (72%), Bihar (69%) and Uttar Pradesh (68%).
Among Northeast countries, Nagaland (48%), Manipur (54%) and Meghalaya (55%) have the lowest level of the lowest dose.
Assam reported 247 Covid cases on Tuesday, with a level of participation of 0.53%.
The Kamrup (Metro) district enrolled 115 of the highest cases.
While three Covid deaths were reported on Tuesday, the recovery rate had touched 98.48%.
