Vax Drive collects steps in Vadodara

Vadodara: Nearly 75% of Vadodara’s adult population has been vaccinated with at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine.
Even if someone considers all the populations, including those in the age category under 18 years, about half of the population are now vaccinated.
The vaccination process has faced many hiccups in various fields with inadequate and uncertain dosage supplies into major problems.
Until recently, vaccine doubts were also the main contributors to the slow rate of encouragement.
However, NGO active participation, religious and spiritual leaders and trade and business organizations have provided significant momentum on the drive.
The vaccinated city population now includes 10,10,346 people who have taken one dose of vaccine.
Also, there are 2,76,684 people who have taken the second dose too.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) Medical Officer (HEALTH) Dr.
Devesh Patel said that the number was high over the past few days except on Tuesday.
“The rate of driving vadodara vaccination is better than other big cities in the state,” he said.
Patel said that the estimated adult population was taken from the number of voters registered in the city for the latest civilian elections.
“We have around 13.5 Lakh voters.
The total population of the city is around 20 to 21 lakh,” he added.
Vaccination has also been triggered by the announcement of the state government to only allow people who are vaccinated to carry out business establishments.
City police have also conducted awareness and drive vaccination.
The main contributors behind the recent surge in the amount of vaccination has become the Association of Muslim Doctors Baroda (BMDA).
Thousands have been vaccinated after the awareness of drives by the association in the city since last month.
