Gurgaon: The Ministry of Health on Friday issued a warning to Tigra’s health staff after a recipient complained of the dose was mixed.
HartEerath Singh (20), who had taken Covaxin’s first shot, said he was given a second dose of Covishield on Wednesday.
“The first dose of Covaxin, the second dose of the covishield even though it shows a certificate to them.
Please advise immediately about what to do,” he posted on Twitter.
Singh told Tii that he had gone to the Sector 49 government session site for both Jab.
“I reached the center of 11:30 a.m.
Covishield.
I was surprised when I was supposed to get Covaxin, “he said.
After this, the Ministry of Health asked Tigra staff to provide details of this problem.
“Staff have been warned to be careful in the future while vaccinating,” said Dr.
Virender Yadav, Chief Medical Officer, Gurgaon.
However, in May, Dr.
VK Paul, a member of Niti Aayog and Chairman of the National Expert Group on vaccine administration for Covid-19, has shown that even two different doses of two vaccines are given to the recipient, this should not happen to be a concern.
