Vax stolen from PHC sells for RS 250

Greater Noida: Two people, including female children from the Urban Primary Health Center (UPHC) in Ghaziabad, have been arrested for allegedly selling Covid-19 vaccines intended for free inoculation drives for Rs 250 per dose, police said on Monday.
Nineteen vaccine bottles, including covaxin injections, covishield and tetanus, along with 155 syringes have recovered from the two men, police said.
Only four bottles, added police, sealed.
The defendant, police said, allegedly gave a vaccine to around 20 people before the police stormed their rented house around 8pm on Sunday.
According to the police, all bottle of vaccines have been sourced through the auxiliary nursing midwife (ANM) employed in Budd Vihar UPHC.
The woman, whose role was being investigated, allegedly related to the one accused.

Sachindra Mishra told TII they had received information that several people had received Jab Covid-19 with RS 250 payments in a house in Kheda Chauganpur Village.

According to the police, the defendant had vaccinated more than 20 people on September 19 in a fake camp held at home.
