Chennai: Congress and VCK have criticized the Governor of Tamil Nadu Purohit Banwarilal after Raj Bhavan released his photo with the Tamil Nadu unit, President K Annamalai and senior leaders who called him on Friday.
They said the governor had previously refused to take pictures with the leader of VCK Tholl Thirumavalavan and leaders of Congress.

He remembered the Thirumavalavan party leader meeting with the governor on July 8 to submit his nessel petition to consider qualified candidates from the Adi Dravidar community to fill the deputy chancellor’s empty post in the state.
“At the request, the governor has refused to take photos (with Tholl Thirumavalavan) from the meeting.

Tamil Nadu President Mahila Congress and Vice President at Madras High Court Advocates Association R Sudha posted a tweet condemning the governor.
“Governor of TN last week refused to photo with our anti-female attitude He tweeted and attached a governor’s image with BJP leaders and paper that cut the governor’s rejection to meet with the leaders of Congress.
“Together with MP Jothiimani and the leader of the Selvaperhagai party floor, I went to file a memorandum on the increase in fuel prices and domestic gas.
The governor had refused to take pictures when we submit a memorandum and told us that he stopped taking photos late.
Now, he has Take photos with BJP leaders.
