Veena Reddy vowed the first Indian-American mission director

Washington: US Agency for International Development (USAID) on Monday (local time) announced Veena Reddy, as the first Indian-American to be his mission director.

He will become the first Indian American to lead USAID-INDIA, represent the best of the two countries, and aims to improve the development partnerships of US-India utilizing his unique experience and.

Veena Reddy, a foreign service officer with the US International Development Agency, is the Mission Director of the USAID / Cambodia.
He arrived in Cambodia in August 2017 and currently oversee staff 75 and USAID programs in food security, environment, health, education, child protection, and the democratic sector and governance.
He has served as Deputy Director of the mission in Haiti, where he oversees the efforts of post-earthquake reconstruction, election support, economic growth, food security interventions, storm responses, and developing new strategies.
Before this post, he served in Washington as a general advisory assistant, which included legal issues for USAID programs in Asia, Middle East, and Afghanistan and Pakistan.
He also served in USAID mission in Pakistan, Central Asian and Central Asian.
Before serving the government, Reddy was a lawyer company in Rogers & Wells in New York and in Akin Gump Strauss Hauer and Feld in London and Los Angeles.
Reddy held a Juris Doctor (JD) from Columbia University School of Law and MA and BA from the University of Chicago.
He is a member of the New York Bar and California.
