Lucknow: Team 20-member state goods and service tax (SGST) searches at home, godown, and factory of agricultural product dealers in the Nanpara Bahraich region.
An officer who knew the probe said that the search was made from Tuesday night and the SGST team had detected large tax avoidance.
The company’s trading company has illegally imported oil that can be eaten from Nepal and save it in two godowns.
The officer said that the SGST team had confiscated oil values that could be eaten during Rs 30 Lakh stored in two gowdown.
The company was asked to pay a penalty and tax.
